About Buraq School




INTRODUCTION
The school opened its doors in the present sight in 2005. Due to its fame a very well known institute of locality (Raees Ul Ahrar School) became a part of this school.
It was given name of Buraq School in 2010, established for the pleasure of Allah (S.W.T) and to serve the society in reforming future. In addition to curriculum outlined by national curriculum department, its purpose is to provide the society with Islamic oriented education which is based on international standard.

The school starts at Play group (Montessori) – Matric, and could be further increased up to higher secondary classes in future. Its affiliated with board of intermediate and secondary education Mirpur AJK.

ADMISSIONS
Admissions are offered as far as possible at beginning of school year in which children are aged 2.5 – 3 years (in class play group/Montessori reception). Admissions can be granted in all classes according to vacant seats available, on merit according to school policy. Admissions are normally done in March/April every year. 
In Play Group (Montessori Reception) admissions are announced for twice in a year;
In March, April for full year class in age 2.5 years & In August, September for half year class in age 3 year.

OBJECTIVES
The school aims to provide high quality education and guidance in an environment where students, without any discrimination; would be able to get necessary knowledge, skills with faith and commitment. The student would be beneficial for their school, parents and society, also a very good representative of the Muslim Ummah.

RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEM SELVES
The school is committed to provide and maintain a safe and pleasant Islamic environment suitable child so the child becomes practical unit of core values of Islam with modern education. The school through the efforts of its enthusiastic and dedicated teaching and non teaching staff consistently achieves above average results not only on academic basis but also in all other educational activities when compared with other schools.

TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS
All teachers employed at the school are registered for ongoing teaching program. Minimum qualification would be Graduation along with B.Ed /equivalent Degree.
In secondary classes we do prefer having Masters’ qualification in relevant science/arts subjects. However in preschool teachers having qualified Montessori Diploma are preferred. We try our best to have a minimum agreement of one session with all the teachers for ongoing academic year. For termination or resignation policies are set.

SCHOOL BUILDING AND FACILITIES
The building and facilities promote a good environment for promotion of health, educational progress and well – being of students. Internally we have made it clean, clear and safe in the best possible manner. We have 15 rooms, including Science and Computer Lab and Library. We have large area for assembly, programs and have outdoor play area. We have canteen also within school premises where eatable, stationary and other necessary items are available.
